Calling all flower lovers … you know how to put together a beautiful bouquet for your vase, but what if you want to make centerpieces for your parties or as hostess gifts? Well, this is the next step in your flower arranging journey … learn how to make your own stunning centerpiece. It’s not hard, you just need the right tools, a little knowledge, and practice. But how hard is that if you live in or near our farm? The most challenging part of making unique and memorable centerpieces is to have access to farm fresh, heirloom and unique cut flowers all season long – and, we’ve solved that for you! :)
If you are ready to take your skills to the next level and learn how to make your flower creativity shine, then this workshop is for you.
Learn the basics of color and form as well as tricks of the trade in manipulating flowers and using sustainable mechanicals to hold your flowers in the vessel (no flower foam used here!).
You will get a chance to walk the flower farm, learn about all the variety of flowers growing in the field, how to harvest for peak freshness, even cut additional flowers as you need them, and begin making your masterpiece. Once you learn the techniques, all you’ll need are fresh flowers to continue to make beautiful centerpieces forever and ever. This workshop includes all the materials you need, from the centerpiece vessel, mechanicals, and of course, freshly harvested flowers. And, you get to take your masterpiece home with you to show off!
We only offer this workshop twice per season, once at the start and once near the end. The availability of the flowers will change depending on when you take the workshop, of course, but if you enroll for both, it will be interesting for you to see how you have progressed in your designing skills both from practical experience and from the differences in available flowers. Those registering for the June workshops will receive a special discount code to be used for the second workshop in autumn (dates to be formalized).
FINALLY, please know before registering that there is NO refund or credit for any reason if you are unable to attend the workshops. You can, however, transfer your registration to another – just let us know.
