The AI Prompt Helping Me Plan My Flower-Farming Season
This is the AI prompt that has been saving me time, keeping me organized and helping me stay on top of the work that needs to be done each week.
After five seasons of flower farming, I finally have one living plan that brings together my cold-hardy flowers, warm-season annuals, successions, bed preparation, cleanup and cover cropping. When something changes, as it always does in farming, I can update the plan instead of abandoning it and starting over.
I put the prompt that helped me create this system into a free PDF so other flower farmers can try it too.
What You’ll Receive
Enter your email address below, click the button and I’ll send the exact prompt directly to your inbox.
The prompt will help you ask AI to create a production workbook based on your own:
- Location, climate and frost dates
- Farm or growing-space size
- Beds, rows, tunnels or containers
- Crops, varieties and quantities
- Target harvest dates and sales season
- Sowing, planting and succession schedule
- Bed cleanup and cover-cropping needs
- Weekly production tasks
It’s meant to be a starting point, not a rigid system. You can simplify it, add more detail or continue adjusting it until it works for the way you farm.
Once you submit your email address, you’ll receive a quick confirmation email. Simply click the link inside, and a second email will arrive with your free AI prompt and everything you need to begin planning your farm’s 2027 production season.
A Quick Note About AI
I use the paid version of ChatGPT. Different AI platforms and subscription levels have different capabilities, so your results may not look exactly like mine.
A basic AI assistant should still be able to help you develop a production plan. However, creating a downloadable spreadsheet, updating the same workbook, producing a printable PDF and emailing a weekly task list may require a paid version or additional file, email and scheduling features.
AI will also need to learn about your particular farm. My planner took several weeks of correcting, fine-tuning and adjusting before it became what I needed. It was a conversation, not a one-click solution.
Please review its suggested dates and recommendations against your own growing experience and trusted local information. AI can be a very useful planning assistant, but it doesn’t know your farm, your weather or your workload as well as you do.
I hope this gives you a helpful place to begin and makes your next season feel a little more organized and a little less overwhelming.
We have more practical production tools for flower farmers in the works, and I’ll keep you posted as they take shape.
If you use the prompt, I’d love to hear how it works for your farm and what you decide to add, remove or change.
