Squeaks, leaks, and 200 freshly planted iris bulbs

When I look out the window, our good old Denali — the 25-year-old “farm truck” — is still faithfully parked out there, squeaks and all. After yet another round of repairs (bringing the total to a cool $1K), she’s ready for wreath season hauls again. Meanwhile on the farm, the first frost is flirting with Cape May, 200 Dutch irises are tucked in, and peonies are on their way.

Are You Stealing Christmas? {Let Me Help You}

It’s officially wreath season, which means I’ve been up to my elbows in evergreens .. and apparently, mild chaos. Between foraging cedar branches (and almost getting mistaken for a Christmas thief) and tripping over a crate of gomphrena in the studio, it’s been a very on-brand start to the holidays here at Seashore Flower Farm. But don’t worry, both the greens and I survived, and our fresh winter wreaths and door swags will open for preorder tomorrow.
