Seashore Flower Club

Learn and Cultivate Beauty, Create and Donate Magic

People have love affairs with flowers – there’s something about their beauty and magic that evokes such strong emotions.

There’s a common misunderstanding, however, that they are too difficult to grow.

But, that’s not true and we want to dispel that notion and help people cultivate these beauties in their own homes.

Seashore Flower Club

Our Flower Club makes it easy for you to grow flowers.

As a member, you will grow your flowers along with us. We will use the same exact seeds that we send you. These seeds are specially curated and are the right kinds of flowers to grow for each specific month of the growing season.

Each month you will receive from us a package that contains 5 packets of seeds, each packet a different variety of flowers. These flowers will be heirloom or specialty cut flowers that are not readily available for purchase at nurseries or florists.

Along with the seeds, you’ll receive guided instructions (through videos, live zoom sessions, Members Only webpage, private Facebook group, and frequent Q & A sessions) on:

  • how to sow the seeds
  • how to grow them into seedlings
  • how to plant them out in the garden or in their pots
  • how to care and harvest them

All of this will be done alongside myself, no experience required – we will grow the flowers together.

Benefits

You will have an abundance of flowers growing throughout early spring through mid-autumn. How magical is that?

And, better yet, this abundance of beauty allows you to share them with others and be part of our #RandomActsOfKindness movement.

Did you ever receive or give these #RandomActsOfKindness? They are unforgettable, wouldn’t you agree?

Why not give your extra flowers to your local shelters, senior centers, your children’s teachers and caregivers, a lonely or sad neighbor, public libraries, public servants … the list goes on forever.

And remember, flowers evoke strong and immediate emotions from people, especially from yourself when you see the surprise and joy as you give them away as #RandomActsOfKindness.

Finally, with your own garden full of gorgeous cut flowers, you can fill to your heart’s content having these beauties throughout your home!

How To Become a Member and How Does It Work?

Our Flower Club runs in 3 cycles during the year: Winter, Spring, and Fall. Each cycle represents a specific growing period.

When you join, you become a member for a specific cycle.

Registration is now open for the fall cycle covering September, October, and November. The flowers that we plant during these months will grow slowly over winter and bloom early Spring!

The membership cost is a one-time fee of $90 which includes the kits for 3 months (September, October, and November) as well as shipping. In addition, as a member, you have exclusive access to our Members Only page containing how-to videos and written instructions, invitation to our private Facebook group, and participation in our live Zoom sessions with Q&A’s. We will mail the kits on the first week of each month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! Timing, in gardening, is about your first and last frost dates. Frost dates are important because your plants will live or die based on how close to the frost dates they are planted. Frost dates are really averages, to be used as a guideline. As you add time to your gardening experience, you will be able to customize these average frost dates to your specific area and work off your experience rather than the generic published information.

To help gardeners in different parts of the country, we developed a postcard, included in every order, to help you calculate how many days to add or subtract from our growing zone here in Cape May for aligning your seed starting schedule with ours. We will also discuss how to manage different gardening zones in our tutorials and live chats.

No experience is needed to join our membership. In actuality, we created this program to teach new and beginner gardeners how to grow flowers. Once you learn these life long skills of germinating, growing, and planting these plant babies, you will gain the confidence to grow anything and this skill will stay with you forever!

You decide how much you want to grow. Each packet of seeds will contain between 25-50 seeds – more than enough for the home grower. And, realize that many of these flowers are “cut and come again”, meaning they grow more flowers the more you cut them. So, if you have a small space or are growing in pots, you can choose to germinate a few seeds to plant out. The choice is yours.

Each month will contain 5 different varieties of flowers selected specifically to grow easily in those months. For April, the seeds will be zinnia, marigold, gomphrena, nicotiana, and celosia. For the future months, we haven’t finalized the varieties as it is dependent on availability, however you can trust that the flowers will be unique and gorgeous.
