It’s 4:30 in the morning and guess what I’m doing?

Thinking about tomorrow’s wedding flowers. Yep, while normal people are asleep, I’m wide awake running through the order of what to prep first, second, third… because tomorrow afternoon a bride is picking up her flowers.

And then I’ve got one more wedding next Saturday (my last one for the season).

To be honest, weddings make me anxious. Like, butterflies-in-the-stomach, can’t-sit-still, “what if I ruin her big day?!” anxious.

Will the bride love them?

Did I nail the palette?

Will the bouquet look good in photos?

I’ll admit, I sometimes always scroll Instagram, looking at the big, glossy bouquets from full-time wedding florists, and then I remind myself: “Wow, my stuff is just as good… dare I say better?”

Then I calm down, take a breath, and get back to work.

That little pep talk usually helps me stop overthinking and just focus on creating.

And before you ask, no, I’m not awake this early just because of wedding anxiety.

I’ve got a little insomnia issue, but I’ve made peace with it.

The upside? I get tons of admin stuff done before heading out for farm work. (And let me tell you, flower farming involves a shocking amount of spreadsheets and record-keeping. Who knew farmers were also part-time accountants, bookkeepers, and marketing managers?)

Speaking of marketing… I’ve got something cooking for next week and I’m hoping to get your input.

So stay tuned.

For now, I’m off to wrangle flowers into wedding-worthy bouquets.

Wish me luck (and maybe fewer gray hairs).
